The Diocletian's palace is a must see when in Split -at least that's what they told us-
It's another summer day in Croatia so im dressed in my least,my trusty sundress that seems to be getting shorter.
That means, either im getting vertically taller (0.5%) or im getting horizontally longer (99.5%).
See?
So we reached the entrance of the basements of Diocletian.
This entrance fee is 40kunas,and only allows the entry to the basements. There isn't much to see cept the architecture.
But it is still quite beautiful, dripping walls and stuff. Well preserved for sure.

Found out that most if the palace was the old town so there isnt an actual palace to see but entrance fees for the baptistry, crypt and cathedral were seperately charged.
There are combines proces. And if you want to do them separately, you can. I paid 10kunas for the Crypt which was entirely a waste of my mollah~
Didnt do the cathedral due to the dress. But it's ok. I've had my fair share in Italy.
They have a 'restaurant' where the outdoor seatings are cushions on e steps right in the of the palace square. It would be a lovely place to chill and people watch if it wasnt soo hot!
Half a day for this. After much perspiring and walking, it was time for a late lunch. Buffet Fife was a name that always came up upon research for food. So we decided to give it a try.
It's cheap and the food portions are hugeee~ i did the pasticada which was recommened, beef stew that was supposed to break upon e touch of a fork. And it sure did!

My photography skills aint good but it is absolutely delish! We ordered calamari w fries, beef stew, fish soup and mineral water. It costs us 27sgd.
Another day trip from Split was to Solin to see the ruins of Salona/salonae.
It is a huge area of open air ruins. So i got burnt after a 2hr walk.

Basically take Bus number 1 from Split. Ask around where it is.. Cause taking any other buses recommended online would bring u to Solin but NOT e doorsteps of the ruins.
We took bus 10 and had to change back to 1. Ask the driver, they are usually really friendly people who tell you where to get off.
The first taste of ruins are free, its the basilica and i felt this was the prettiest with trees and the blue skies in the background. Walking further in,is an old building where the staff would ask you to pay 20kunas (5sgd) for further entry. Student cards:10kunas (for me! All hail the trusty SIM card)
It's a huge place there after. I think i saw more paths than ruins, but it is pretty if you are into such things.
